About the role
Our legal client is looking for a highly organised Office Manager to keep the firm running smoothly. You will combine administrative, HR, and bookkeeping duties to support a fast‑paced legal environment.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee daily office administration and operations.
- Manage supplies, service providers, maintenance, and company assets.
- Coordinate boardroom, vehicle bookings and travel arrangements.
- Maintain filing systems, legal files, court calendars and diaries.
- Draft reports, correspondence and other company documentation.
- Handle petty cash, reimbursements and office‑related expenses.
- Organise office events, marketing materials and client gifting.
- Liaise with IT providers for technical support.
- Support HR functions: onboarding, leave management, contracts, disciplinary processes and policy implementation.
- Maintain employee records and ensure HR compliance.
- Perform bookkeeping tasks including reconciliations, invoicing, collections and financial record‑keeping.
- Assist with audit preparation and ensure compliance with legal accounting procedures.
Required profile
- Matric (Grade 12) minimum; HR diploma or degree advantageous.
- Qualification in bookkeeping, accounting or finance advantageous.
- 3–5 years HR experience in a law‑firm environment (preferred).
- 2–5 years bookkeeping experience, preferably in legal or professional services.
- Strong administrative and organisational abilities with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast‑paced setting.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
What we offer
- Competitive salary of R30 000 CTC per month, based on experience.
