About the role
The Village Manager is responsible for implementing the organisation's mission and vision within the retirement village, ensuring smooth, cost‑effective operations while maintaining high quality of service. The role combines financial oversight, staff supervision, facilities management, and resident relations.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and control the unit’s financial affairs, operate within budget, and prepare financial reports for the Finance Department.
- Oversee payroll processes, ensuring timely submission of attendance, overtime, and leave data.
- Supervise staff, manage appraisals, disciplinary actions, and coordinate annual leave.
- Maintain emergency procedures, facility upkeep, and compliance with organisational policies and legal requirements.
- Arrange resident meetings, site inspections, and support the CEO on project feasibility studies.
- Coordinate sales and marketing activities, including appointments for prospective clients.
Required profile
- Proven experience in managing operations of a residential or community facility.
- Strong financial acumen with ability to monitor budgets and prepare reports.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to foster good work relationships and handle staff matters.
- Ability to ensure compliance with safety, legal, and organisational standards.
