About the role

Our legal client is looking for a highly organised Office Manager to keep the firm running smoothly. You will combine administrative, HR, and bookkeeping duties to support a fast‑paced legal environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee daily office administration and operations.
  • Manage supplies, service providers, maintenance, and company assets.
  • Coordinate boardroom, vehicle bookings and travel arrangements.
  • Maintain filing systems, legal files, court calendars and diaries.
  • Draft reports, correspondence and other company documentation.
  • Handle petty cash, reimbursements and office‑related expenses.
  • Organise office events, marketing materials and client gifting.
  • Liaise with IT providers for technical support.
  • Support HR functions: onboarding, leave management, contracts, disciplinary processes and policy implementation.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure HR compliance.
  • Perform bookkeeping tasks including reconciliations, invoicing, collections and financial record‑keeping.
  • Assist with audit preparation and ensure compliance with legal accounting procedures.

Required profile

  • Matric (Grade 12) minimum; HR diploma or degree advantageous.
  • Qualification in bookkeeping, accounting or finance advantageous.
  • 3–5 years HR experience in a law‑firm environment (preferred).
  • 2–5 years bookkeeping experience, preferably in legal or professional services.
  • Strong administrative and organisational abilities with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast‑paced setting.

Required skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

What we offer

  • Competitive salary of R30 000 CTC per month, based on experience.
