Night Receptionist – Safari Hotel & Convention Centre

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Night Receptionist to be the first point of contact for guests arriving at the Safari Hotel and Convention Centre during night‑time hours. The role combines front‑desk duties with ensuring the safety and smooth operation of the hotel throughout the night.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and check‑in guests, providing a warm and efficient welcome.
• Manage reservations, respond to inquiries and give information about hotel services and local attractions.
• Handle guest requests, complaints and issues promptly and professionally.
• Process payments, manage cash transactions and keep accurate financial records.
• Oversee hotel security during night hours, ensuring safety of guests and staff.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance regarding room status and guest needs.
• Prepare night‑audit reports and maintain organized records of guest information and transactions.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of reception and reservations experience in the hospitality industry.
• Ability to work independently, stay calm under pressure and pay strong attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hotel management software – specifically Protel or Opera (PMS).
• Basic computer skills.
