.NET MAUI Mobile App Developer

About the role

Our client, a leading fintech organisation in Johannesburg, is looking for an experienced .NET MAUI Mobile App Developer. You will design, build and maintain cross‑platform mobile applications that connect seamlessly with back‑end services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain iOS and Android applications using .NET MAUI and Xamarin.
• Integrate and consume RESTful APIs for data exchange with back‑end systems.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create responsive, visually appealing interfaces using XAML.
• Write clean, scalable C# code following MVVM architecture.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers and support continuous improvement.
• Debug, troubleshoot and optimise application performance.
• Work with cross‑functional teams to define, design and deliver new features.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of professional mobile app development experience.
• Proven experience building cross‑platform apps for iOS and Android.
• Experience integrating internal or external APIs.

Required skills

• C# programming.
• .NET MAUI / Xamarin.
• XAML for UI design.
• MVVM design pattern.
• RESTful API consumption.
• .NET Core, dependency injection.
• Debugging and performance optimisation.
• Unit testing frameworks such as xUnit or NUnit.
• CI/CD pipelines for build and deployment.
• Commercial UI components (e.g., DevExpress, SyncFusion) – advantageous.
