About the role

Afrimat CM Eastern Cape (Pty) Ltd, based in Gqeberha, is seeking a qualified Millwright to join its team. The role involves executing daily electrical maintenance, installing, maintaining, repairing and troubleshooting both electrical and mechanical systems within a mining environment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily electrical maintenance, schedule preventive maintenance and ensure equipment meets required OEE targets.
• Install, align, maintain and dismantle heavy industrial machinery and equipment.
• Identify causes of electrical and mechanical dysfunctions, conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with SANS0142 standards and the Mine Health and Safety Act.
• Read and interpret electrical and technical drawings to support maintenance activities.

Required profile

• Electrical qualification minimum N3 with a wireman’s license.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in a mining or industrial setting.
• Medically fit according to Mine Health and Safety Act standards.
• Valid driver’s licence and computer literacy.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, planning and decision‑making skills.
