Medical Receptionist – Upmarket Clinic

About the role

We are seeking a polished Medical Receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients at an up‑market clinic just outside Sandton. The role demands warmth, composure and emotional intelligence to support patients through personal and often sensitive journeys.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and assist patients with empathy and discretion.
• Manage a high‑volume appointment diary accurately.
• Liaise with doctors, nursing staff and laboratory teams.
• Handle confidential patient information in line with privacy standards.
• Process payments and medical‑aid queries.
• Maintain a calm, premium reception environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a medical receptionist, preferably in a specialist practice.
• Strong administrative ability and attention to detail.
• Professional presentation and confident communication.
• Comfortable in a fast‑paced, emotionally sensitive setting.
• Stable work history and own transport.
• Fluency in Afrikaans is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency in handling confidential records.
• Ability to manage high‑volume scheduling software.

What we offer

• Salary up to R20 000 Cost‑to‑Company, commensurate with experience.
• Full‑time schedule starting at 7 am daily, with varied end times (5 pm, 4 pm, 3 pm, 2 pm).
