About the role

The public hospital group of La Rochelle-Ré-Aunis is seeking a qualified physician to work in the Maison de Baillac nursing home (EHPAD). The position starts in June 2026 and is offered on a part‑time basis (70‑80% of a full schedule). The role is open to either a general practitioner or a geriatric specialist, with the possibility of undertaking a clinical geriatrics training program.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care to elderly residents of the EHPAD.
• Conduct regular health assessments, manage chronic conditions, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in the clinical geriatrics training (DU) if applicable.
• Ensure compliance with French medical regulations and maintain accurate patient records.

Required profile

• Registered with the French Conseil de l’Ordre des Médecins.
• Qualified as a general practitioner or geriatrician.
• Willingness to work part‑time (70‑80% FTE) and start in June 2026.
• Open to recruitment via internal transfer (mutation) or a contractual arrangement with fast‑track titularisation.
