About the role
We’re hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer for the mining sector with over 10 years of experience. The role involves taking a design from concept through to close‑out and owning the project throughout.
Key responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design projects from start to finish
- Produce detailed designs, draughting and manufacturing‑ready packs
- Build and maintain bills of materials
- Manage timelines, stakeholders and deliverables
- Compile close‑out reports at project completion
Required profile
- 10+ years’ mechanical design experience
- Proven project management on design work
- Strong SolidWorks skills
- Full‑cycle design experience (concept → detail → manufacture/install → close‑out)
- Draughting and BOM competence
- Mining industry experience
