Manager - Key Accounts, Consumer Prepaid

About the role

MTN is looking for a Manager - Key Accounts, Consumer Prepaid in Johannesburg. The role manages allocated accounts, develops them and delivers excellent customer service, including profitable sales and market execution, while staying aligned with business strategy. It reports to the Head of General Trade / Modern Trade.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, monitor and review the account business plan, with monthly progress feedback and quarterly reviews
• Deliver acquisition, retention and profitability targets, and drive execution plans with corrective actions where needed
• Pursue market share growth, benchmark against competitors and influence accounts to grow in target geographic areas using GIS tools
• Manage account budgets, costs of sales and expenses, and negotiate with trade partners
• Develop and run promotional plans, including marketing and store promotions and regional roadshows, and forecast device and product needs
• Resolve channel conflicts, grow contract value and track account performance by cost and revenue
• Manage customer satisfaction, maintain stakeholder relationships and keep commercial terms of agreements up to date
• Report results, budget compliance and key account insights to the business and stakeholders

Required profile

• 3-year tertiary qualification (post-matric)
• At least 5 years of sales experience in telco or FMCG
• Deep understanding of the telecom ecosystem, customers and competitor landscape
