Management Accountant – Managed Services (Hybrid, Cape Town)

About the role

We are looking for a Management Accountant to join the Managed Services unit of Trustmarque Ultima in Cape Town. The role supports month‑end, forecasting and reporting processes and works closely with the Finance Business Partner to drive financial insight.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare high‑quality finance reports for internal stakeholders, including month‑end and business performance reporting.
• Record revenue and cost transactions accurately in line with IFRS, reviewing contracts for appropriate revenue recognition.
• Maintain finance controls, balance‑sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules, escalating issues promptly.
• Coordinate monthly invoicing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and proper documentation.
• Assist the Finance Business Partner at month‑end by analysing data, reconciling forecasts to actuals and explaining variances.
• Post working journals with the Business Controlling team, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.
• Manage partner rebates, cost recognition and sales data accuracy on a weekly/monthly basis.
• Build and maintain financial models and scenario analyses to support product investment, pricing and margin optimisation.
• Develop, track and analyse key product and financial KPIs, translating trends into actionable insights.

Required profile

• Professional qualification in Finance/Accounting or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret large data sets.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on accuracy, controls and audit trail documentation.
• Goal‑oriented, able to meet tight month‑end and forecasting deadlines.
• Proactive and outcome‑focused, taking ownership of issues and driving improvements.
