Maintenance & Property Assistant

About the role

Recruit'd is recruiting a Maintenance & Property Assistant for a guest house. The role covers the general upkeep, maintenance and repair of the property, keeping rooms, common areas and facilities in good working order.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct general maintenance and repairs throughout the guest house.
• Maintain the gardens, outdoor areas and surrounding property.
• Identify and attend to maintenance issues before they become bigger problems.
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, painting and handyman duties.
• Ensure rooms, common areas and facilities stay in good working order.
• Monitor the condition of furniture, fixtures, equipment and property infrastructure.
• Coordinate external contractors when specialised repairs are required.
• Keep the property safe, neat and presentable at all times.

Required profile

• Previous experience in general maintenance, property maintenance or a similar hands-on role.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Reliable, trustworthy and responsible.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's licence.

Required skills

• Good practical skills and the ability to handle basic repairs.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical maintenance, painting and general handyman work is advantageous.
