Maintenance Operator – Grade 2 (Instrumentation)

About the role

Sasol is seeking a Grade 2 Maintenance Operator with a focus on instrumentation to support the upkeep of mechanical, electro‑mechanical and instrumentation systems at its Secunda plant. You will work closely with artisans, ensuring safe execution of maintenance tasks and contributing to optimal plant productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Assist and accompany artisans during maintenance activities, ensuring safety compliance.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and keep tools organized in a controlled area.
• Prepare, arrange and manage hand tools and workshop equipment required for each task.
• Support installation and removal of machine components.
• Identify and apply the correct oil or lubricant for services.
• Drive and deliver samples as required.

Required profile

• Matric/N3 qualification with Maths, English and Physical Science.
• CHIETA NQF Level 2 (Instrumentation) certification.
• 1–2 years of relevant maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s licence.
