Maintenance Manager

About the role

CHEP is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the reliability and upkeep of plant equipment across its operations. You will be responsible for ensuring a zero‑harm environment while driving equipment performance, safety, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead implementation of Process Reliability (PR) systems to meet operational targets.
• Manage plant‑wide preventive maintenance programs and share best practices with other sites.
• Drive technical improvement projects such as automation upgrades, capacity enhancements, and new machinery installations.
• Develop and deliver technical skill‑enhancement programs for inspection and repair teams.
• Oversee building and facilities upgrades, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with Engineering to plan and execute improvement projects aligned with strategic goals.
• Analyze annual maintenance costs to optimise lifecycle spending and budgeting.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and enforce health‑and‑safety standards across the plant.

Required profile

• Proven ability to ensure plant equipment is safe to operate and maintain high reliability.
• Experience leading maintenance, vehicle workshop, building and cleaning teams.
• Strong focus on safety, with a track record of fostering a zero‑harm environment.
• Capability to plan, prioritize and execute maintenance projects that minimise downtime.
