About the role

Rare Earth Retreats is seeking a dedicated live‑in General Manager couple to lead Tshwene and Ekuthuleni Lodges within the Welgevonden Game Reserve. This senior hospitality role combines operational oversight with the chance to shape memorable safari experiences for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of both lodges, ensuring high standards of service, safety, and cleanliness.
• Lead, motivate and develop a diverse team, fostering a culture of trust and excellence.
• Manage budgets, financial performance, and procurement while maintaining profitability.
• Curate guest experiences that reflect the unique wildlife and wilderness setting.
• Coordinate with reserve management on conservation initiatives and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior hospitality or lodge management, preferably in a remote or wildlife setting.
• Strong leadership qualities with a hands‑on, detail‑oriented approach.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with staff and guests.
