Learnership - Intern (Service Centre)

About the role

Alfa Laval South Africa is looking for a passionate and eager Fitter & Turner or Millwright intern for the Service Operation Division in the Middle East & Africa, based at the Service Centre in Johannesburg. The role sits within a fast-moving, developing business and offers a chance to build a global network.

Key responsibilities

• Execute repairs according to specifications or advanced repair tasks
• Assist service centre technicians with their daily tasks
• Engage in problem resolution and suggest improvements for products and working procedures
• Take part in 5S, safety and quality activities
• Help minimize the number of workshop hours
• Keep the area clean and tidy
• Follow standard operating procedures and stay dedicated to safety

Required profile

• Trade graduate or Red Seal in Millwright or Fitting and Turning
• Knowledge of HSEQ regulations
• Driver's licence

Required skills

• Knowledge of MS Office
• Crane operation and forklift experience
• Experience with rotating equipment
• Planning and organizing, attention to detail, good communication and problem solving
