Learnership Intern - Service Centre

About the role

Alfa Laval is offering a learnership internship in its Service Centre in Johannesburg, focused on the repair and reconditioning of machines. The intern works on repairs according to specifications or advanced repair tasks, executes work according to standards and improves them, and supports service centre technicians in their daily tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Execute repairs according to specifications or advanced repair tasks
• Be engaged in problem resolution
• Suggest improvements for products and working procedures
• Take part in 5S, safety and quality activities
• Help minimise the number of workshop hours
• Develop yourself and assist service centre technicians with their daily tasks
• Ensure housekeeping

Required profile

• Trade graduate or Red Seal in Millwright or Fitting and Turning
• Knowledge of HSEQ regulations
• Experience in rotating equipment
• Knowledge of crane operation and forklift operation
• Driver's licence

Required skills

• Knowledge of MS Office
• Planning and organising
• Following standard operating procedures (SOP)
• Attention to detail, good communication and problem solving
• Dedication to safety
