Junior-Mid Digital Designer - Creative Advertising Agency

About the role

A full-service creative advertising agency in Cape Town's Northern Suburbs is looking for a Junior-Mid Digital Designer to join its on-site team. The designer produces and delivers cross-platform digital work and ads, from responsive websites and emails to banners, mobile and tablet apps and microsites.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with the client service team and the creative team to convey a message through type, photography, illustration and colour across online and cross-platform media.
• Produce solid social media designs.
• Edit and manipulate ad layouts according to clients' specifications.
• Communicate clearly with management to define the project direction.
• Meet deadlines strictly; remuneration is negotiable.

Required profile

• Certificate, diploma or BA degree specialising in multimedia design.
• 1 to 2 years of previous experience in a digital field.
• Keen eye for detail, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines.
• Demonstrated creativity and innovation, and a reasonable understanding of current commercial trends.

Required skills

• Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects and Premiere Pro.
• Animation experience.
• Video editing on DaVinci Resolve (advantageous).
• Solid aesthetic sense combining colours, fonts and layouts.
