Digital Design Specialist

About the role

Absa is looking for a Digital Design Specialist in Sandton to support end-to-end user experience design across multiple products and areas. The role covers discovery, ideation, conception, detailed design, prototyping and validation, delivering digital experiences on web, mobile and other digital platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Translate customer, business and technical requirements into intuitive, accessible and engaging digital experiences through user research, interaction design, visual design, prototyping and usability testing.
• Deliver digital design services according to the agreed performance contract.
• Create wireframes, user flows, journey maps and high-fidelity designs.
• Apply existing best-practice frameworks to implement identified subject matter processes and standards.
• Provide specialist advice and support in the area of accountability so that solutions and recommendations are appropriate and effective, and recommend innovative ways to achieve quality results.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or advanced diploma in Physical, Mathematical, Computer or Life Sciences (required).
• Strong experience with interactive prototyping and design validation.
• Experience creating wireframes, user flows, journey maps and high-fidelity designs.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Figma.
• Strong understanding of responsive design principles across desktop, tablet and mobile.
