Junior Industrial Engineer

About the role

National Brands Limited (NBL) is seeking a Junior Industrial Engineer to join its Coffee & Creamer factory in Isando. You will support the design and optimisation of equipment and processes to ensure maximum output while maintaining agreed standards.

Key responsibilities

• Optimise process and packaging outputs by defining, documenting and communicating performance targets.
• Assess process capability and develop improvement plans where performance gaps are identified.
• Monitor and control process inputs to drive optimal outputs.
• Identify improvement opportunities using Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE) techniques.
• Recommend, record, communicate and obtain sign‑off for process and packaging changes.
• Facilitate team problem‑solving, applying root‑cause analysis, failure analysis and gap‑management principles.
• Analyse out‑of‑control situations and implement corrective actions.
• Collect and analyse data to support decision‑making and financial justification of solutions.
