Junior Engineer – Industrial/Civil/Mechanical/Mechatronic

About the role

This position is for a Junior Engineer who will support the design, development, testing and evaluation of integrated systems and processing lines at a well‑established fruit processor. The role focuses on optimizing production output and contributing to various project phases.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and allocate resources required for project tasks.
• Implement project timescales, budgets and manage resources.
• Liaise with Plant, Technical and General Managers to develop detailed designs.
• Outline and monitor each project step to ensure schedule, budget and quality compliance.
• Evaluate financial impact and calculate project payback.
• Map product flow across processing operations and analyse workload balance to minimise costs.
• Conduct feasibility studies and present findings to management.
• Perform technical and scientific tasks under supervision.
• Assist maintenance teams with technical and mechanical expertise.
• Report internally on water balance, boiler, power and product efficiencies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Industrial or Mechatronic Engineering.
• 1–5 years of experience in manufacturing process optimisation.
• Project management experience.
