IT Support Network Administrator – Durban

About the role

Our client in the shipping and logistics sector is seeking a dynamic, self‑motivated IT Support Engineer / Network Administrator to manage and support the IT infrastructure at their Durban facility. You will be responsible for configuring devices, maintaining network services and providing first‑line support to end‑users.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and maintain Windows PCs, laptops and Android hand‑held devices.
• Manage the Durban site’s network infrastructure, including SD‑WAN connectivity.
• Administer antivirus solutions and ensure devices receive timely updates.
• Support Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft 365 migration and Exchange Online.
• Provide first‑line user support, log help‑desk tickets and create troubleshooting guides.
• Maintain an IT asset register and assist with procurement of hardware and software.

Required profile

• Matriculation plus a relevant IT qualification.
• CompTIA or Microsoft certifications.
• Minimum two years of experience in a similar IT systems or network administration role.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and solve problems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
