IT Manager – Automotive Sector

About the role

We are looking for an experienced IT Manager to lead the technology function of a fast‑growing automotive organisation operating across Africa. Based in Johannesburg, you will be responsible for keeping the company’s infrastructure secure, efficient and aligned with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee network infrastructure, servers, hardware, software, backups and IT asset management.
• Manage IT budgets, resource allocation and technology investments.
• Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity and compliance measures.
• Lead IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations and new implementations.
• Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to improve performance and reduce costs.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting across the organisation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align IT strategy with business goals.
• Define and manage service level agreements for regional operations.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience as an IT Manager.
• Relevant IT degree or diploma.
• Proven project‑management and leadership experience.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Experience in the automotive industry is a strong advantage.
