About the role

We are seeking an Intermediate Data Scientist (Level 2) to join our team in Johannesburg. The role involves taking ownership of data‑science work‑streams, delivering high‑quality analytical solutions and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own and deliver multiple data‑science work‑streams within projects.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover insights and guide modelling.
• Design, build, and evaluate machine learning models.
• Conduct feature engineering and data preprocessing at scale.
• Translate business problems into structured analytical solutions.
• Write clean, scalable, and well‑documented code.
• Validate and interpret model results, communicating findings clearly.
• Collaborate with engineers, product teams, and stakeholders.
• Contribute to solution design discussions and support junior team members.
