About the role

Act as the architectural SME and coach for an embedded business domain, bridging strategic objectives with executable solution designs. Design resilient integration patterns – focusing on APIs, event‑driven architectures, and cloud middleware – to connect upstream and downstream systems cleanly.

Key responsibilities

• Act as architectural SME and coach for an embedded business domain, translating strategic objectives into executable designs.
• Design resilient integration patterns focusing on APIs, event‑driven architectures, and cloud middleware.
• Translate enterprise guardrails into practical delivery models, balancing rapid execution with long‑term architectural health.
• Partner with Finance, Technology, Security, and Data teams to convert functional requirements into clear, implementable technical designs.
• Shape data migration, security, and governance strategies to ensure auditability, data quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Support delivery teams through design, build, test, and deployment phases, resolving architectural risks and ensuring continuous alignment.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems) beneficial.
• 7+ years experience designing enterprise‑scale solutions in complex IT environments.
• Strong practical knowledge of modern enterprise integration patterns, REST APIs, event‑driven architecture, and middleware.
• Solid experience with cloud architectures, specifically Microsoft Azure.
• Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and ArchiMate.
• Understanding of security, risk, and compliance requirements within financial, investment, or highly regulated industries.
• Ability to influence stakeholders, coach delivery teams, and navigate complex technical landscapes.
