About the role
A hospitality client in Cape Town, represented by Service Solutions, is looking for a talented Indian specialty chef to join its team. The chef will prepare and present authentic Indian dishes to the highest standards of quality, consistency and presentation.
Required profile
- South African work authorisation
- Relevant culinary qualification
- Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience preparing authentic Indian cuisine in a reputable hotel or restaurant
- Strong knowledge of traditional Indian spices, cooking methods and regional specialties
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Excellent attention to detail, strong teamwork and communication skills
- Passion for authentic Indian cuisine, creative approach to food, professional and guest-focused attitude
Required skills
- Experience with a Tandoor oven is advantageous
- Authentic Indian cooking
