Independent Industrial Psychologist (Medico-Legal)

About the role

Talent Nova Recruits is partnering with a Midrand‑based medico‑legal practice to engage an experienced Industrial Psychologist on an independent contractor basis. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality psycho‑legal assessments and defensible medico‑legal reports for a variety of cases, including personal injury and medical negligence.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psycho‑legal assessments for clients.
• Prepare objective, evidence‑based medico‑legal reports of a consistently high standard.
• Draft addendum reports and contribute to joint minutes when required.
• Liaise professionally with attorneys and other medico‑legal experts.
• Provide expert testimony in court upon request.
• Maintain ethical and professional standards while meeting agreed turnaround times.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Industrial Psychology.
• Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Industrial Psychologist.
• Current CPD compliance.
• Minimum five years post‑registration experience as a practising Industrial Psychologist.
• Proven medico‑legal experience with strong report‑writing ability.
