IBM Connect: Direct & Sterling File Gateway Administrator

About the role

We are looking for an experienced IBM Connect: Direct & Sterling File Gateway Administrator to join our enterprise‑integration team supporting a leading banking client. You will be responsible for administering, supporting and optimising managed file‑transfer platforms to ensure secure, reliable and highly available file exchange services.

Key responsibilities

• Administer IBM Connect: Direct and Sterling File Gateway platforms.
• Configure and maintain secure MFT environments, supporting SFTP, FTPS and AS2 protocols.
• Manage certificates and secure communication channels.
• Provide production support, incident management and root‑cause analysis.
• Maintain high‑availability and disaster‑recovery configurations.
• Support IBM MQ integrations and assist with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator setups.
• Implement automation using Ansible and Terraform where applicable.
• Work with enterprise scheduling tools such as Control‑M.
• Produce technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application and operations teams.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience administering Managed File Transfer platforms in enterprise or financial services environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
