Human Resources Manager

About the role

The Human Resources Manager will plan, develop and implement all HR operational components for COFCO International South Africa, collaborating closely with the Payroll Manager, Assets HR Manager and senior leadership. This role drives culture, talent acquisition, development and compliance across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Organisational design and culture development
• Talent acquisition, onboarding and induction
• Talent management and succession planning
• Learning and development programmes
• Performance management
• Employee relations, disciplinary and grievance handling
• Remuneration and benefits administration
• Employee engagement and retention initiatives
• HR reporting, analytics and manpower planning
• HR policies, procedures and legislative compliance
• Employment Equity and BBBEE implementation
• Guiding line management on HR matters

Required profile

• Grade 12 and a degree in Human Resources Management
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an HR Manager (generalist level)
• Experience in a large, multinational organisation is advantageous
• Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation (BCEA, LRA, SDA, BBBEE, EEA)
• Project and change‑management experience
• Fluent written and spoken English

Required skills

• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of Sage Payroll & HR software
• Knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors
