HR & Payroll Administrator – Stellenbosch

About the role

Our client is seeking a meticulous HR & Payroll Administrator to join their team in Stellenbosch. You will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and providing essential HR support, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Process weekly, casual and monthly payroll runs, verifying timesheets and employee data.
• Maintain up‑to‑date employee records in the payroll system and manage status changes.
• Prepare and submit statutory payments and returns such as EMP501, Compensation Fund, Employment Equity and SDL.
• Generate and distribute electronic payslips; produce printed payslips for blue‑collar staff when required.
• Administer leave requests, group life and funeral benefit claims, and produce related reports.
• Assist with salary adjustments, bonuses and incentive calculations using the VIP payroll system.
• Reconcile cashbooks, provide journal reports to the accountant and support payroll audits.
• Ensure all payroll documentation is received, verified and processed within deadlines.
