Human Resources Manager

About the role

The Human Resources Manager will lead the HR function for a client based in Randburg, Johannesburg. You will be accountable for delivering a structured, compliant and business‑focused HR service covering employee relations, recruitment, performance management, training, employment equity and payroll oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full HR function and supervise the HR Assistant.
• Provide legally sound, commercially sensible HR advice to senior management.
• Oversee employee relations, disciplinary processes, grievances, investigations and CCMA preparation.
• Ensure compliance with South African labour legislation, POPIA and internal policies.
• Own end‑to‑end recruitment, onboarding, induction and employee lifecycle processes.
• Maintain accurate HR administration, employee files, contracts, SharePoint records and audit‑ready documentation.
• Drive performance management, KPIs, probation reviews and improvement plans.
• Support employment equity, BBBEE reporting and statutory submissions.
• Administer benefits and ensure correct payroll input documentation.
• Identify HR risks, recommend improvements and promote employee engagement and retention.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in HR, Industrial Relations, Labour Relations, Psychology or related field.
• 6–8 years HR generalist experience and at least 4 years as an HR Manager, preferably in ICT, technology, telecommunications or SaaS.
• Strong knowledge of South African labour law, employment equity and BBBEE.
• Proven experience handling disciplinary processes, CCMA cases and HR compliance.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Experience with HR and payroll systems.
• Familiarity with SharePoint for document management.
