Human Resource Internship (Recruitment Intern) - uMhlanga

About the role

OUTsurance's Human Capital department is looking for a Recruitment Intern to support the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing to onboarding. The internship is a structured work-based programme for unemployed graduates, lasting 12 months under a fixed-term internship agreement (not an employment contract) and paid by a stipend.

Key responsibilities

• Post job advertisements on job boards and internal platforms
• Source potential candidates through online channels such as LinkedIn
• Screen CVs and shortlist applicants against job requirements
• Conduct initial screening calls with candidates
• Schedule and coordinate interviews with candidates and hiring managers
• Maintain regular contact with candidates and give them application updates
• Maintain and update recruitment trackers and databases
• Prepare interview packs and help with recruitment documentation
• Support onboarding of new hires

Required profile

• Matric or equivalent
• Degree or diploma in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Labour Relations, BCom Law, LLB, Generic Management, Business Management or a related qualification
• To qualify for the INSETA Internship Programme: South African citizen, not previously in an INSETA internship or learnership, aged 18 to 35, and unemployed in the last two months

Required skills

• Strong verbal and written communication and excellent interpersonal skills
• Computer literacy and good administrative ability
• Organised, self-disciplined, deadline-driven and able to work under pressure
