About the role
We are seeking an experienced Human Capital Manager to lead and manage the full spectrum of HR functions within our unionised textile manufacturing environment. This role combines strategic insight with day‑to‑day operational execution to foster positive labour relations, ensure regulatory compliance, and support our business objectives through effective people management.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.
- Lead labour‑relations activities, including union negotiations and dispute resolution.
- Ensure compliance with South African labour legislation and internal policies.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and talent development.
- Manage employee relations, grievance handling, and disciplinary processes.
- Maintain and continuously improve HR policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Provide HR analytics and reporting to senior leadership.
Required profile
- Proven experience as an HR or Human Capital Manager in a unionised manufacturing setting.
- Strong understanding of South African labour law and collective bargaining.
- Demonstrated ability to balance strategic planning with operational execution.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
