HSE Specialist – Health, Safety & Environment

About the role

A leading multinational engineering and technical services organisation is seeking an experienced HSE Specialist to drive health, safety and environmental compliance across operational, workshop and field‑based service environments.

Key responsibilities

• Drive HSE compliance, audits and governance standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement preventative controls.
• Manage incident investigations and corrective action plans.
• Prepare monthly compliance reports and performance dashboards.
• Lead training initiatives, toolbox talks and safety awareness programmes.
• Improve procedures and drive continuous safety improvement.

Required profile

• Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Public Health or related discipline.
• NEBOSH certification (essential) with IOSH/NVQ as advantageous.
• 5–7 years HSE experience in industrial, technical service or operational settings.
• Strong knowledge of South African HSE legislation and compliance standards.
• Experience conducting audits, risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Advanced reporting and data analysis capability.
