HR Graduate Programme 2027

About the role

Rio Tinto’s Richards Bay Minerals division is seeking motivated graduates to join a two‑year Human Resources Graduate Programme starting in 2027. The role offers hands‑on experience in HR functions within a leading global mining and metals company.

Key responsibilities

• Support HR business partners on talent acquisition, learning and development, and employee relations.
• Assist in the design and delivery of HR projects that improve workforce effectiveness.
• Analyse HR data and contribute to reporting for senior management.
• Participate in cross‑functional initiatives that align HR strategy with business objectives.

Required profile

• Graduated or graduating by March 2027 with a degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Psychology or a related field.
• South African citizenship; preference for residents of KwaZulu‑Natal.
• No prior work experience required.
• Not currently enrolled in, nor previously completed, another graduate programme.
