About the role
We are seeking a proactive and organised HR Administrator to support our daily HR operations in George, Western Cape. The role involves handling payroll assistance, personnel administration and ensuring smooth coordination of HR functions across the company.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with day‑to‑day HR department activities and payroll processing.
- Prepare documentation and reports related to recruitment, staffing, training and performance evaluations.
- Schedule interviews, meetings and other appointments.
- Coordinate HR projects such as training sessions, employee surveys and company events.
- Conduct orientation and onboarding for new hires.
- Issue employment contracts, warnings and other HR documentation.
- Manage injury‑on‑duty (IOD) matters and student administration records.
- Maintain the clocking system, recording leave and sick days.
- Update HR databases, filing systems and handle general email communication.
- Take accurate meeting minutes and, when required, travel to town sites.
Required profile
- 3–5 years of practical experience in a similar HR or administrative role.
- Matric (Grade 12) qualification; post‑secondary HR qualification is advantageous.
- Valid driver’s licence and ability to commute within the Garden Route area.
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
