HR Administrator – Employee Relations

About the role

Emerald Life Proprietary Limited, a licensed micro‑insurer specialising in funeral insurance, is looking for an energetic and self‑motivated HR Administrator focused on employee relations. The role is based at the Head Office in Bellville and works Monday to Friday, 08:00‑16:30.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and file misconduct letters, warnings and traffic‑department fine notices.
• Compile evidence bundles and prepare cases for disciplinary hearings and CCMA proceedings.
• Execute grievance and incapacity/ill‑health procedures.
• Conduct investigations into alleged misconduct.
• Maintain accurate disciplinary records in Sage 300 People.
• Type and proof‑read minutes of meetings or recordings.
• Translate meeting recordings where required.
• Ensure all typed documents are free of spelling and grammar errors.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification (essential).
• Three‑year Human Resources qualification.
• Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in an HR department.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong typing accuracy (will be tested).

Required skills

• Sage 300 People (HR module).
• MS Office suite – Excel, Word and Outlook.
