HR & Admin Officer

About the role

The Radiation Protection Agency (RPA) is seeking a motivated HR & Admin Officer to lead its human‑resource and administrative functions. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the agency’s workforce is effectively recruited, developed, and supported while maintaining compliance with labour legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement all HR management activities, including recruitment, onboarding, and induction.
• Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files, and HR information system data.
• Develop, review, and enforce HR policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Administer employee benefits, leave, attendance, and payroll‑related matters.
• Manage performance appraisal cycles, staff development plans, and training programmes.
• Provide guidance on employee‑relations issues, disciplinary actions, grievances, and conflict resolution.
• Support workforce and succession planning initiatives.
• Prepare HR reports, statistics, and management information.
• Coordinate employee wellness and engagement activities while ensuring confidentiality of all personnel information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
• Minimum three (3) years of relevant HR or administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of labour legislation, employment regulations, and HR best practices.
• Experience in recruitment, performance management, training coordination, and employee relations.
• Previous work in a government, statutory body, or regulatory environment is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using HR information systems.
