About the role
The Hotel Operations Manager will oversee the day‑to‑day running of all restaurant and kitchen outlets in George, Garden Route. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures smooth service delivery, cost control and compliance with health and safety standards. The successful candidate will bring extensive experience in food and beverage management, kitchen costing and overall hotel operations.
Key responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of restaurants and kitchens, ensuring high service standards.
- Coordinate stocktakes with outlet managers and maintain inventory control.
- Uphold health, safety and hygiene policies across all food and beverage areas.
- Train, discipline, motivate and lead staff across all outlets.
- Identify and implement procedural improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Advise on menu and wine list development.
- Monitor and control food and beverage costs and budgeting.
Required profile
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and make decisive decisions.
- Flexible availability and willingness to lead by example.
- Solution‑focused, “can‑do” attitude.
