Host Coordinator

About the role

The Host Coordinator is the primary point of contact for Signa Academy’s workplace host partners. The role involves actively promoting and selling the value of hosting learners, managing the full lifecycle of placements, and ensuring quality workplace experiences that align with QCTO objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Source, pitch to, and recruit host employers, building a sales pipeline and securing signed partnerships.
• Profile learners, match them with suitable hosts, and coordinate all placement administration.
• Monitor learner progress in the workplace, conduct site visits, and address any HR or safety issues.
• Ensure compliance with QCTO, SETA, POPI, and OHS requirements throughout the placement process.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Sales, Marketing or related field; Project Management certificate advantageous.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a learnership environment; 3 years experience in workplace placement preferred.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.
• Knowledge of SETA/training legislation and QCTO frameworks.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with Google Drive for document management.
• Use of online recruitment tools such as Facebook and LinkedIn.
