Handyman – Hotel Maintenance

About the role

The Handyman ensures smooth and consistent resolution of maintenance issues across the hotel, supporting guests and staff alike. Working on shift, you will respond to logged tickets and verbal requests, covering a wide range of areas from rooms to pools.

Key responsibilities

• Address maintenance issues reported during shifts and via verbal instructions.
• Maintain security systems, pool facilities, grounds, hotel rooms, and other hotel areas.
• Perform general DIY tasks, including basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, and decorating.
• Collaborate with hotel staff and communicate effectively with guests.

Required profile

• Matric (high school) qualification.
• 1–2 years of handyman or maintenance experience.
• Hands‑on problem‑solving approach and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Strong teamwork skills while also capable of working independently.
• Honest, trustworthy, and detail‑oriented.
• Presentable, well‑spoken, and proactive.
• Excellent interpersonal and multitasking abilities.
