Handyman – Building Maintenance at Galleria Mall

About the role
The Handyman is responsible for the overall maintenance of the Galleria Mall building. The role includes preventive maintenance, installation of new equipment, and support for routine building upkeep.
Key responsibilities
- Continuously inspect the building to identify maintenance needs.
- Respond promptly to tenant maintenance requests.
- Carry out duties assigned by the building supervisor or regional manager.
- Check and maintain all main outer and inner doors (glass condition, proper opening/closing).
- Inspect the exterior of the building and flag problem areas.
- Replace lights in ladies’ and gentlemen’s toilets, foyers, passages, stairways, parking areas, and external security lights.
- Check and maintain fittings in toilets (taps, basins, urinals, etc.).
- Complete work‑order records and file all related maintenance paperwork.
- Assist area staff as required and keep management well informed of maintenance activities.
Required profile
- Grade 10 education.
- Additional training in maintenance and repair procedures.
- Minimum of two years of related maintenance experience.
