Guest Relations Officer – Luxury Safari Lodge

About the role

Join a prestigious private game reserve in the Eastern Cape as a Guest Relations Officer. You will be the face of the lodge, ensuring every guest enjoys a warm, seamless and memorable stay in a high‑end safari environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Lodge Manager with daily operations and support the assistant staff.
• Conduct housekeeping inspections to meet established standards.
• Supervise restaurant service before and during meals, ensuring adherence to company standards.
• Verify meal quality before dishes leave the kitchen.
• Handle guest check‑ins, check‑outs and respond to all guest requests promptly.
• Coordinate additional services and supplies requested by guests.
• Report anomalies, variances and improvement ideas to senior management.
• Assist with stock counts and prepare weekly and monthly reports.
• Live on‑site, working a 21/7 day rotation.

Required profile

• Hotel Management Diploma/Certificate or equivalent.
• 1–2 years experience in Front‑of‑House or a similar role at a 5‑star lodge.
• Well‑spoken English, presentable and customer‑focused.
• Driver’s licence preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, common sense and a team‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office, especially intermediate Excel.
• Experience using Lightspeed, Sage Evolution and Protel systems.
