Governance & Compliance Specialist – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term

About the role

Denel Aeronautics is seeking a Governance & Compliance Specialist on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract to lead and enhance governance, compliance and risk management processes within its Supply Chain Management division.

Key responsibilities

• Drive implementation of supply chain policies, governance procedures and legal compliance across the division.
• Develop, review and update policies and procedures to align with South African SCM legislation.
• Provide guidance to governance bodies and support the Supply Chain Management Unit.
• Design and deliver training and awareness programmes on governance, compliance and risk management.
• Monitor and manage supply‑chain risk, ensuring adherence to Denel’s policies and regulatory frameworks.
• Oversee bid committee processes to maintain fairness, transparency and competition.
• Collect, analyse and report on compliance data, preparing month‑end compliance reports.
• Lead teams in addressing compliance issues and implementing corrective actions.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in law, finance, supply‑chain management or a related field.
• Proven experience in governance, compliance or risk management within a supply‑chain environment.
• Strong understanding of South African supply‑chain legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical, documentation and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
