About the role

The Lodge Group at Welgevonden Private Game Reserve is seeking a dynamic General Management Couple to lead two lodges. This senior hospitality role combines operational oversight, financial stewardship, and team leadership to deliver exceptional guest experiences in a unique wildlife setting.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily lodge operations, ensuring high standards of guest service and satisfaction.
• Manage budgets, financial reporting, and forecasting in collaboration with the Head Office finance team.
• Drive cost control, logistics efficiency, and product quality across all guest touch points.
• Develop and implement HR functions, including staffing, payroll, training, and performance management.
• Lead sustainability initiatives, identifying opportunities to reduce environmental and community impact.
• Foster a positive workplace culture aligned with the organisation’s mission, vision, and values.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in lodge or hotel management, with a strong grasp of finance and HR processes.
• Passion for hospitality and a commitment to team wellbeing and development.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, capable of inspiring and mentoring staff.
• Ability to analyse trends, create innovative service concepts, and adapt to a changing business environment.
