Butler / Waiter

About the role

Join a luxury boutique safari lodge in the Waterberg region of Limpopo as a Butler/Waiter. You will be the face of the lodge, delivering polished, guest‑focused service throughout the seven‑night fixed‑stay experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with meal service, table set‑up, clearing and resetting across all dining periods.
• Present wine descriptions and menu pairings confidently to international guests.
• Welcome guests, conduct orientation tours and manage daily schedules.
• Prepare coffees, cocktails and other lodge‑standard beverages; operate the POS system accurately.
• Control bar stock, conduct regular stock takes and report low inventory.
• Maintain clean, organised dining and bar areas at all times.
• Anticipate and proactively address guest needs to enhance the overall experience.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in lodge service, waitering, bar service or guest hosting.
• Exceptional spoken and written English; Afrikaans is a plus.
• Strong, reliable employment history with verifiable references.
• Clear criminal record and willingness to undergo a background and polygraph check.
• Ability to arrange reliable personal transport to a remote location (≈30 km gravel road from Vaalwater).
• South African citizenship or valid work authorization.
• Comfortable living and working in a quiet, rural environment.
