General Manager – 280‑Seat Restaurant in Hartbeespoort

About the role

We are looking for an experienced General Manager to lead a 280‑seat restaurant located in the heart of Hartbeespoort. The venue offers full‑service dining, functions, events and catering, and requires a self‑managed leader who can ensure high‑quality service and efficient operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all restaurant operations, including product, people and place.
• Manage front‑of‑house teams: train wait staff, schedule shifts and monitor daily performance.
• Supervise kitchen activities, stock ordering, receiving, inventory rotation and stocktakes.
• Control cash flow, gross‑profit margins, food‑cost calculations and produce monthly financial reports for owners.
• Maintain cleanliness, health and safety standards and develop operational procedures.

Required profile

• South African citizen, willing to work weekends.
• Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle.
• Resident of Hartbeespoort or ready to relocate.
• Customer‑focused with a vibrant personality.
• Minimum three years in a restaurant leadership role, preferably in a large‑venue setting.
