Gear Room Technician

About the role

The Gear Room Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and managing all IT and technical infrastructure across the campus. The role leads a technical team, ensures smooth daily operations, and supports students and staff with technical needs.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee staff schedules and day‑to‑day technical operations.
• Manage, develop and maintain the CAS (Campus Management) system.
• Control campus inventory and assist with the asset register.
• Run the gear room, providing student and employee IT support.
• Maintain and manage security systems.
• Perform general maintenance to ensure the campus’s appearance and technical functionality.

Required profile

• IT qualification with extensive Windows desktop experience.
• Knowledge of Apple macOS devices.
• Proficiency with MS Windows 10 and MS Office 2016/365.
• Experience with anti‑virus solutions.
• 10 years of experience in the technical/IT industry, including at least 2 years in a management role.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and excellent written and verbal communication.
