FX Acquisition Dealer

About the role

Vela Personnel is seeking an FX Acquisition Dealer to join a senior team of dealers within a leading financial services organisation. The role focuses on identifying, targeting and acquiring new Global Markets clients to grow FX and Global Trade revenue streams.

Key responsibilities

• Research, identify and acquire new clients to achieve targeted sales growth.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to sustain a pipeline of acquisition opportunities.
• Coordinate cross‑border collaboration with Global Markets and other business areas to maximise synergies.
• Cross‑sell Global Markets products and Global Trade CVP across the Eastern Cape, KwaZulu‑Natal and Free State, requiring extensive travel.
• Prepare and present FX/Global Trade proposals aligned with client requirements.
• Analyse foreign exchange market trends to provide actionable insights to clients.
• Identify potential clients from financial media, competitors, peers and corporate divisions.
• Ensure dealing mandates, regulatory compliance and internal controls are in place.
• Manage operating risks according to internal and external guidelines.
• Contribute to departmental culture, knowledge sharing and professional development.

Required profile

• Proactive approach to client acquisition and revenue generation.
• Strong analytical abilities and understanding of FX and Global Trade products.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel across specified provinces for client engagement.
