Full Stack Developer (C#.NET + Angular) - Remote with Monthly Cape Town Sessions

About the role

A growing South African technology company at the intersection of fintech and health-tech is looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer to join a small, hands-on engineering team. The role covers backend development, frontend applications, cloud infrastructure and third-party integrations, from initial design through to production. It is primarily remote, with monthly in-person collaboration in Cape Town.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend applications using C# and .NET Core.
• Build responsive web applications with Angular, TypeScript and Angular Material, and mobile-friendly apps with Ionic.
• Design and optimise SQL Server databases, and build background services, automated processes and scheduled tasks.
• Deploy and support applications on Microsoft Azure, including CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps.
• Integrate applications with external APIs, payment platforms, communication services and healthcare systems.
• Troubleshoot and improve performance using tools such as Application Insights.
• Work with product teams and stakeholders, and take ownership of tasks from planning through to production.

Required profile

• At least 4 years of professional software development experience.
• Demonstrable experience using AI coding assistants and tools in real projects, evaluating and refining AI-generated code.
• Ability to work independently, solve technical challenges and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Willingness to attend monthly in-person sessions in Tyger Waterfront, Cape Town.

Required skills

• C# and .NET Core; frontend with modern JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, preferably Angular.
• Relational databases, preferably Microsoft SQL Server.
• Advantageous: Ionic, Flutter, Azure, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, cloud-native architecture, payment gateway integrations, fintech or health-tech experience.
